Daniel returns to winning ways after a dominant performance over the former WSOF champion Georgie Karakhanyan (24-5-1) at Bellator 147 in San Jose/California.
The Weasel stepped in the cage on December 4th for the first time after his heartbreaking loss to then featherweight champion Patricio Freire back in June. There were no signs of any bad memories as Daniel got his movement going from the get go- and he would never stop until the final bell.
The fight stats were amazingly one sided after two rounds as Daniel would land more than 70% of strikes compared to his foes 24%- he would also land with a higher volume. The judges had no other choice than to award Daniel with a unanimous 30:27 win on all scorecards. The win puts Daniel right back in line for another shot at gold- depending on Daniel Strauss´s recovery of a broken hand which he suffered in his win over Freire, who might be in for a rematch, too.
We will keep you posted.
