Daniel Weichel (born November 22nd in Erbach/Germany) is a MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter in the lightweight division -155 lbs. Yet, he has already been fighting all over the world (Germany, England, Japan, Sweden, USA, Bulgaria, France and the Netherlands)- but his reputation mainly started to grow when he competed in the Reality TV Show "MAX" (Martial Arts Extreme) which was screened by the DSF (Deutsches Sport Fernsehen- a huge german sports channel) at the end of 2006 where he made it to the final of the cage fighting tournament which was held as part of the show. The final happened in September 2009 where Daniel was able to beat Ivan Mussardo via unanimous decision to claim himself the true MAX Champion.
Daniel was able to capture the M-1 lightweight belt with a first round KO in November 2011, before winning Bellator´s 2014 featherweight tournament in style with 2 rear naked choke and a unanimous decision victory.
Besides his fighting spirit Daniel is known for his athletisism and his qick learning ability.

(quoted from the movie "Fight Club" starring Brad Pitt and Edward Norton) should be recognized as his motto, while he truly fights, in the strict sense of the word, for his dreams and desire. Daniel can now call him the first ever German M-1 Challenge lightweight champion of the world. He was able to capture gold on the 20th of November 2011 as he featured in the co-main event of "Battle of the legends" feat. Fedor vs. Monson in front of more than 22.000 at Moscow´s Olympic Stadium.
